Shopping in San Francisco

Courtney asked me if I wanted to go shopping in the city.  So with promises of Forever 21 & cupcakes (twist my arm) I went.

Two girls, shopping, eating cupcakes and taking in the sights in the city.  It was so. much. fun.

This is probably not a big deal for the rest of the world, but taking BART for the first time was a little out of my “bubble.”  I’m a germaphobe, member?  You member.

Court lives in Daly City so we hopped on from there & got off at the Powell Street Station stop.  If your ever in SF & want to shop, this is the place for you!  It literally drops you off at the doorstep of just about every store you can imagine.

It was a lot of fun and I couldn’t believe how efficient BART is. I just smelled like Purell the entire day.  :)

And the turning point for the cable cars.

First stop~

I was looking for long sleeved tops & sweaters that pair well with jeans & leggings.  Yes, I’ve actually been wearing jeans more than running tights.  And doing something with my hair other than throwing it in a pony tail with a BIC Band.  I don’t even know who I am anymore.

Proof~

Courtney picked out the top I’m wearing at Forever 21.  It’s something I never would have picked but when I tried it on, we both loved it.  I wore it out of the store.

We really wanted to eat at the Cheesecake Factory, but there was a 40 minute wait & we didn’t want to risk loosing valuable shopping time.

I snapped a few pictures before we left.  The view was awesomesauce!

You can bet ice skating on this outdoor rink is on my bucket list.

Pizza it was.

Then desert.  Duh.

I couldn’t decide between red velvet with cream cheese frosting & the strawberry cheesecake.  Court had the brilliant idea we get both & split them.  She’s so ‘mart!

It’s not a surprise how much I love cupcakes!  So I’m going to start rating the cupcake shops I visit.  You know, since my life is so hard and all.

Here’s how it will work.  6 = awesomesauce, 1 = lamesauce.  Get it?

I’m giving Cako Catering & Bakery 3.9 out of 6 cupcake pops.  The red velvet was really good but the strawberry cheesecake was on the dry side.

If you want retail peeps to give you the stink eye, take pictures of their beautiful displays.  I took this from outside the door as we were walking by & a lady behind the register started walking towards me.  What can she do?  I was outside.  Hahaha!!

It actually makes me wonder if it’s illegal in CA to take pictures in retail locations?  They put them online for the world to see, so what’s the difference?

We ended our trip at the Westfield Mall.  Holly crap, it was 8 stories and another trip for another day.

Back on BART we went.

Girls on BART

When we got back to Daly City, Court took me to watch the most amazing sunset overlooking the ocean.  It was a real treat considering it’s always foggy & cold there.

A perfect end to a perfect day.  :)
