San Francisco & Treasure Island

Part 2 from this post.

After we left Stinson Beach, we headed to the city.  I’ve seen the Ferry Building a million times on other blogs & really wanted to check it out.

It was so beautiful!!

And packed so we walked around for a little bit before deciding we were starving.

After paying $6.50 to park for 21 minutes and made fun of the occupy SF losers…

We headed to little Italy to have lunch at Tony Gemignani’s.

Bread & dipping sauces to start.  I think they were a garlic, sweet pepper & EVOO.

We ordered the New Yorker~

We both agreed this was hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had.  And I love my pizza!

This definitely isn’t Round Table or Pizza Hut.  The ingredients are the freshest possible.  Even the tomatoes were freshly hand crushed.  Yeah.  That good.  Oh & the ricotta…I have no words.

It was actually kinda random we stumbled upon this place.  A few weeks ago Mike told me about this pizza place he heard about on the radio that has 9 different ovens.  He was so jazzed!

So if your ever in the city, enter this into your GPS~

After lunch we drove around for a bit.  Ended up at Nob Hill which was a bust.  Maybe our GPS took us to the wrong side, but it looked like everything else.

We wandered over the Oakland Bay Bridge to Treasure Island.

This place blew me away.

Not in a good way though.

It used to be a Navy base and after they pulled out, it’s virtually the ghetto.

It has so much potential.  I mean, look at the views from Treasure Island.

Not sure what this is but it’s pretty cool.

Mike’s favorite side of it.  Imagine that.

Watching the construction on the Oakland Bay Bridge was uber cool.

Found out where the local news crew streams the traffic live.  They were actually up there streaming.

And the US Coast Guard entrance, which I’m pretty sure we weren’t supposed to be.

And jumped on the 101 parking lot to head home.  It was only 3:30 and already bumper to bumper.

We’ve had our eye on a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge from Ikea, but decided since we just got a new camera to take our own.  I can’t wait to explore again.

Christmastime is going to amazingsauce too!
