Mike had the day off so we headed out for a day of exploring & cupcakes.
We had lunch at Red Robbin (hello bottomless fries) & got our coffee fix at Starbucks then went to the Stanford Mall in Palo Alto. We love window shopping there. That’s within our budget. Well unless Coach has a clearance rack.
I’m excited to see that fall has arrived! It was really nice to walk around outside in the cool, crisp air. It was in the 50’s but felt much cooler.
Back home I notice the leaves start changing color in September, but up here I guess it comes a little later.
You know I couldn’t possibly leave without a cupcake from Sprinkles.
Gimme my cupcake, yo.
You all know I’m lamesauce & my mission in life to to try every cupcake shop ever and rate them. I had the salted caramel with cream cheese frosting.
I give Sprinkles 5 out of 6 pops. It was very moist & the flavor was mild, but the frosting was a little too sweet for me. Their Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting beats it.
Sprinkles > Cako
We love going on random drives & ended up in Portola Valley.
Saw deer along the side of a busy road and drove down one of the most scenic roads I’ve ever been on.
I’d love to live here. There were a lot of cyclists, runners & people walking on this road. We even saw a few trails through the woods.
Then drive up a hill to see this…
That’s the Dumbarton Bridge off in the distance on the right.
I can’t get over how beautiful it is here.
There’s talk about taking the dogs to the beach tomorrow. Something I’ve been wanting to do for months. But it’s currently raining so I’m crossing my fingers.
Hope your having a wonderful weekend!
