Workout: 4 mile run
I did it!! Pain free and severely out of shape, but it’s done and I’m so happy!
It wasn’t easy and I stopped a lot. Mostly due to traffic lights. Man, I really need to find a snake & traffic light free area to run in soon.
I averaged 9:27 minute splits. Not too shabby all things considered.
It’s funny because at one point I was out running drivers as they waited in traffic. I’ll bet that made them happy.
Geesh I forgot how hungry running makes me. I couldn’t wait to add pickles to my salad.
I also crave salt after a run. Okay that’s a lie. I’ve always favored salt over sweets.
Speaking of, check out this little slice of heaven I found at Trader Joe’s!
And, yes I cracked that jar open as soon as I got in the car. They were everything I thought they would be.
Because I can never make up my mind, I had a snack plate this afternoon.
Still hoping to race on Sunday!! Let’s see how recovery goes the next few days.
I need to start cross training & get back on my bike soon too.
For now, I’m taking it one day at a time.
