Workout: 3.75 mile run.

Oh boy it was a hot one.  Probably the warmest all year, which made it hard towards the end.  But I did it and I’m extremely happy I held a 9:03 average pace per mile.  <- champ status, people!!

On to some really big news {for me anyhow}.

I’m signed up for the Two Cities half marathon!!

It’s on November 4th so I have plenty of time to ease back into it.

Bonus it’s in Fresno so I get to bug my family while I’m there.  ;)

Here’s the training plan I’m very loosely following.

Of course I’m taking it really slow, but right now I’m on week 3.

My goals are quite simple.

  • Run 3 days a week.  1 long run, 2 slower/easy.
  • Cross train on my bike 2 days.
  • Stretch before & after.
  • Strength training every other day.

Posting this makes me so nervous.  This is something I have been determined to do but I feel so hesitant making it public.  But after thinking about it, I love it when other post their goals & dreams. I realized I thrive off of setting goals.

I love being apart of a blogging community that is encouraging beyond anything I could ever imagine.

I find a lot of my motivation comes from the healthy living blogs I read.

It’s crazy how the virtual world can help keep me on track, motivated and always looking for a new goal to reach down the road.

So there ya have it.  I’m back to torturing myself again.

What’s your next big race?
