iCloud & blogging

I’m taking a few days off from running, but I wanted to move my legs so yesterday went for a walk.

I’m definitely experiencing a little of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness).

I even saw my favorite water fountain.

About 2 miles later I was feeling much better.

Followed by a little foam rolling strengthening exercises and a major cleaning & decluttering spree.

I shall now rest in peace tonight knowing every spec of dust is gone, the piles of paperwork are filed or thrown away, the laundry is done and the storage closet outside is organized.

Then my heart hurt a little.

I had to write the saddest check today.

Stupid IRS.

Moving on to stuff that makes my life a lot easier and enjoyable.

Hopefully it will do the same for you.

I’m sort of a technology nerd.  The simplest stuff makes me so happy.

Enter my new favorite.

You guys, iCloud is like the Apple geniuses said one day, let’s help make Jacqueline’s blogging life a whole lot easier.

I am convinced of that.

It stores & allows me access to my calendar, pictures and a bunch of other stuff on both my iPhone & PC.

But my favorite use of all is for pictures.

When I went to Costco today, I lost my mind when I saw all of the Christmas decorations out.  So the nerd in me started taking pictures of stuff I liked.

Then I saw gift ideas as I walked the isles.

I took pictures of things I saw for my gift list.

I suck at finding the right gift.  I really enjoy giving, but struggle to come up with something unique, useful & fitting for that person.  Remember how my sister stole all of the “crafty” genes!?

Anyway I started snapping pictures of gift ideas.

I’m not going to post them because my family {grandma Lucille} reads my blog.  🙂

Are you ready for the cool/nerdy part!?

When I get home, plug my phone into the charger & WI-FI, my pictures automatically upload online and into my “Photo Stream” folder directly on my laptop while I sit around sip my Starbucks Double Shot with classic & soy and let Bam out to not chase squirrels.

They are saved forever online and I can edit & categorize them into folders.  Oh and by the way I have 5 GB worth of free storage.

It’s kinda like my own little Pinterest board in there.

The only downfall I’ve seen so far is, iCloud won’t back up or upload pictures that are already on your phone.

Mike has the Galaxy SIII and uses the Dropbox app, so droid users, might want to check it out.

Okay your turn!!

Tell me about your favorite app.

What are you having for dinner?

We’re trying Jenna’s Cajun Mac & Cheese recipe tonight.  It looks like cheese heaven.

Would you guys be interested in a Galaxy S III vs. Apple iPhone 5 post?

  1. iCloud is GENIUS!!! My favorite app is probably spotify though. I just LOVE having any kind of music at my fingertips! and it means my workout playlist never get stale 🙂
