Plank challenge

The sun came out this afternoon!!

I cam home to a couple surprises.

Oh wait, this was not one of them.  We’ll just pretend it is.

Here we go.

I saw this Otter Box on Pinterest a few weeks ago and was so excited when Mike won it on Ebay.

Come hell or high water <-Mike’s words, we will not ever go coffeeless in this house.  We love Fabiano’s and used to swing by the farmers market for it when we lived back home.  We buy 5 pounds at a time and have it shipped.  We also love to support a family run, small business.  #winning

I don’t usually participate in blogger challenges, but lately I’ve been trying to add planks in addition to my strength training.  When I saw Tina was starting a challenge, it seems like a great time to give it a try.

If your interested in joining, all you do is time yourself holding a plank for as long as you can.  That will be your starting point.  Check out this post for a little about it.

Anyone else participating?

Here is my time.  My arm’s are still shaking after it.

Your turn!

Have you ever done a challenge?

What did you have for dinner?

I made meatloaf using this recipe.  We all know how much I suck at cooking, but this one turned out really good.  Mike demanded it be put into the dinner rotation.

Is there anything like fresh, clean sheets!?

That was a trick question.  The answer is no.  Duh.

  1. A plank challenge sounds pretty good for me right about now. I used to do a lot of core work but have slacked big time for the last while.

Just noticed that on the left side of your blog under the discription of “The Chick” I ranked 2nd behind coffee under loves. That left a slight mark. Ouch

Speaking of plank, I took my first power vinyasa yoga class yesterday morning (lots of plank). When I wasn’t laughing at myself for falling over (which was way too frequent for my liking) I was fighting the urge to hurl. Also, holy crap am I not flexible! I blame a lot of it on being tight from running but I may just be unlucky. I seriously look like a Barbie doll while I’m trying to go through the moves. Not because I’m all vavavavoom but bc she has no joints. :) are you flexible?

  4. @Mike sorry honey, I’ll change it. You know I love you the mostest. :)
@Melanie your comment literally just made me LOL!! You painted the perfect picture! I don’t think I’m all that flexible. Stretching does help a ton though.
