Be inspired

You guys!!  I’m feeling pretty darn inspired lately.  I don’t know if it’s the new year or the fact that I’m injury free after a long time, but I’m ready to start training for some really cool races!  Full running steam ahead.

I have a few races I’m eyeing this year, but that’s another post that I will get on it soon, pinky promise.

I’m finishing up my inspiration board, but one of my goals for this year is to take a fitness class.  So when I saw a deal for unlimited 30 days of yoga, I jumped on it.

I know cross training is very important to build strength and injury prevention and this race season, I’m going to do everything I can to run injury free.  And if something comes up, I’ll cry to Jeff.  He’s pretty much the injury fixing ninja.

I used to take yoga classes in Dinuba years ago.  I loved it, but they were only offered in the evening and I’m a morning worker outer.  <-pretty sure I just made up 2 new words.

I’ve never practiced yoga in a real studio, so I’m kinda excited to check it out.

Thanks to Pinterest, I’m pretty sure in my mind, I’ll look like this:

But actually it will be more like this:

In other exciting news, Women’s Running magazine thinks I’m cool enough to post my mug on their website.  I’d like to know who lied to them.

You may find it here, along with 60 other cool kids.

If your interested in being on their website too, you can tweet @WomensRunning your race pic with hash tag #runbrag

While your there, check out 12 bloggers on the run.  I spy this pretty girl and the one who inspired me to start running oh, about 4 years ago.

Now with that, I’m heading out for a run, who’s with me?

Your turn!

How long have you been running?

Who inspired you to run?

What are you training for this year?

What/who has been inspiring you lately?

  1. Very cool being on their website! Congrats!

I started running very, very casually 4-5 years ago. I didn’t start training for a race/distance until the summer of 2011.
