Making things happen

Good morning!  <-I just typed Food morning.  Clearly, I need more coffee.

A little inspiration for your Thursday morning while I get a refill.

Speaking of coffee, I’m sipping out of one of my favorite mugs.

Mike bought it for me at packet pick up when I did the California Classic Weekend.

I busted it out because I’m just a little excited to help promote a race I love!!

Yep, I’ll be doing the mini metric ride & running the half marathon, and I will also be blogging about my training and the event.  Something I have a major passion for.

I can’t wait to run through the zoo and eat Jelly Belly’s…

Opps, got a little sidetracked there.

Anyway if your in the Fresno area and are doing the race, let’s be virtual training buddies!!

On a totally random note, (what else would you expect on SCB?) I actually made an edible dinner last night.

A Shepherds Pie.  I totally Jacquelinized it by using all ground beef and adding cheese, but it turned out pretty good.  Got Mike’s approval!

Just in case your wondering I followed Tina’s recipe.  I also love that the ingredients are simple.

I also learned a little about myself yesterday…I like making dinner ahead of time so all I have to do is pop it in the oven.  That way it gives me more time to make fun of Mike.

What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

What race or distance is on your bucket list?

A marathon.  Gulp.
