Good morning! It’s a lazy Saturday morning around here, so I thought it would be fun to give you a glimpse into a day in the life of Bam since it’s way more exciting than mine.
If he could talk he would probably say something like this:
Hi I’m your new dog. My name’s Bam, well that’s what my new owners call me, my old owners called me Jack but you can call me what ever you want. Where are we going? Is there a dog park? Do you have any treats? Let’s go have fun!! Let’s chase squirrels and birds. Can I ride in your truck? Oh we’re going that way…
I swear he has a doggie version of ADHD and I love it!
In case you can’t tell Bam is a pure bread Jack Russell and the breed is um, very energetic. When I tell people that he’s 8, they say months? Bahahaha
In the morning I take him outside and we snuggle on the couch for a bit. Then he proceeds to snooze the morning away.
It’s a pretty ruff (<-couldn’t help myself) life as you can see.
He thinks he’s helpful all the time. I can’t walk anywhere without him following me to see what I’m up to. It can be annoying, because I feel like I’m going to trip over him but I love it too.
This is our favorite park where he can run off leash and chase squirrels, his favorite.
And apparently dig to China.
By the look on his face I’d say it was worth it.
The afternoons are usually spent snoozing some more. Sometimes he catches up with his favorite blogs.
I swear he has a clock in his bed because at the same time every day, he waits by the back door for Mike to come home from work.
Then Bam runs to his toy box & pulls out a toy to coax Mike into playing with him. If you were to come visit, he’d welcome you the same way too.
Bam’s excitement that dad’s home is insane and Mike’s a sucker so they play for a bit. He runs in circles and they play really hard for a while.
And then he slips into bed for the night.
A few fun facts about Bam:
- Is a totally sweetheart and friends with everyone.
- Has a thing for doors opening, he wants to bolt. Drives. Mike. Insane.
- Loyal to no one. Everyone is his master in his mind. Refer to the first paragraph at top.
- Easy going, always up for anything, anytime.
- Very balanced. If a few dogs at the park get a little too rowdy, he get’s in the middle & breaks them up.
- Horrible on leash. We have a training collar he wears outside and is a perfect gentlemen off leash.
- Loves the beach.
Do you have a pet?
Tell me something funny they do!

Awww I’ve been begging my fiance for a dog and I think I’m almost there, so I started doing research on what kind of dog I want. I decided on a JRT because they are little and a dog I can run with!! So obviously I obsessed with this post on how cute Bam is!!!
You will love the breed!! They are high energy and require a lot of play time so running will be perfect for them. I think I got Bam up to 4 miles one time. Let me know when you get your pup. I’m uber excited to see it!
Awww, Bam seems like a fun sweet dog!
We have 3 cats and 1 dog, Lando our Aussie. Lando loves to greet everyone by throwing his nose in their crotch and then squeeze between their legs, giving a butt wiggle as he does so. ^_^;;
Your comment made me LOL!! Dogs have no sense of personal space, uh!
