Well this makes running easier

Good morning!!  I hope your weekend if off to a great start.

I’m still on the couch snuggling with Bam, sipping coffee.

Yesterday I hit the trail for a 6 mile run.  Please don’t send me hate mail for saying this, but it was almost too warm out.  No complaints here, it was so beautiful and luckily there are water fountains along the way.

I don’t run here very often, but every time I do, I wonder why I don’t.  If that even makes sense!?

I feel so blessed I get to run here.  It’s a pretty amazing place that tends to take your attention off the tough parts of a long run.  Especially that never ending last half mile.  I swear that’s sometimes the hardest part.

You probably can’t see it, but off in the distance is the Shoreline Amphitheatre, Moffett Field, NASA, Google Headquarters, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

I finished with an average pace of 9:30 per mile.  I’m pretty stoked about that!

Then stretched while I rehydrated with Nuun lemon-lime, which is awesome stuff!  It’s very refreshing and not too sweet.  I can’t wait to try other flavors like Margarita and Watermelon.

I’m feeling a little tight, but no pain this morning.  I feel like all of the effort I’ve put into strength training is finally paying off.  Boom!

How do you get though a tough run?

Anyone running this weekend?  Racing?

  3. So jealous! I woke up to a surprise snow this morning. Not what I wanted to see on my coat-less way out the door to work at 5:30 AM.

  4. What a gorgeous trail. I am so jealous of you west coasters! My company’s HQ is actually in Sunnyvale, I’ve yet to have a chance to go out for a visit. My hubby and I are actually planning a trip to San Diego this summer, can’t wait to run by the beach!

BTW, I’m a LLL freak too!

    • Oh you will love San Diego. Make sure you hit up Coronado Island if you have time. It’s so worth it!
I’m assuming LLL = Lululemon!? ;) Cheers to that!
