Enough

Happy Friday!!  Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

We might take a road trip, but we’ll see what kind of trouble we can get into.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Often times I think we all can get caught up thinking about and planning our future.  That’s totally awesome, but what about today?  What about all of the things you already accomplished?
Yesterday I caught myself thinking that I need to train harder.  You see, I’m more of a chess player, always looking 2 steps ahead, but a lot of times I don’t make it a point to see how far I’ve come.
I think my perspective needs a reality check because over the last couple weeks I bumped up my mileage and strength training.  I am stronger now than I’ve ever been.  Although there’s still a lot of work to do, I feel like I need to take a step back and celebrate my accomplishments.
Heck, just a few months ago I couldn’t even run at all.  Now I’m on pace to throw down the monthly mileage I did before the injury punks.  Boom!
I think sometimes we all can fall into the “I’m not doing enough” trap.  So today I want to challenge you to take a step back and celebrate all of the things you’ve accomplished.
P.S In case you don’t follow me on Instagram, here’s one of my favorite race signs!
  2. Love the message in this post! I’m super-stressed at work & getting ready for vacation, I need to slow down & enjoy the ride along the way! Congrats on making solid strength gains recently, it feels so empowering to feel strong! Great sign :)
  5. best sign ever!!
  6. That is a great sign! I sometimes forget to celebrate that I ran a race. I am just like hey it was a run. But there is a small % of people out there that can and will. So cheers to completing races, 5k or 10k or a full marathon or just getting out of bed and running!
