Yesterday I woke up to the sun shine coming through the blinds which is so rare. Usually the fog lingers for a few more hours. This made me so happy I jumped out of bed, made coffee & breakfast and went for a run.
I found a new area to explore and I can’t wait to go back.
It was warm out so I made sure to hydrate well before and looped back to the car at the halfway point for a more water. I felt so much better while running so I’m thinking my stomach issues while running are linked to dehydration. Let’s hope that’s it because it’s a simple fix.
After I sat in the shade and posted this on Instagram.
I blame the endorphins for all of the typos. But that last mile I felt like I was flying and it reminded me of why I love running longer distances. It takes me a couple miles to warm up and find my groove and then it’s on like Donkey Kong, yo.
When I got up I felt like a superhero leaving my mark…a butt print. Yeah you know you wanna be my friend.
As soon as I got home I did a round of strength training and kept up with my mini goal for the week, foam torturing myself.
Bam had to supervise me. He thinks he knows everything.
Mike made our new favorite grilled chicken so I chopped some up and made hugh jass spinach salad the size of my face.
And a peach. Does anyone else sprinkle sea salt on fresh peaches? If not, you are missing out.
Do you put salt on something unusual?
I love salt way too much. No, like LOVE it so I think it should go on almost everything, but Mike likes to put it on watermelon and I can’t wrap my head around that. I guess it’s a salty-sweet thing.
Do you associate places you visit with what the weather was like?
Yes, I didn’t even know I did this until Mike pointed it out a couple weeks ago. I am way too spoiled with our beautiful year round weather. How long does it take you to warm up and get into your groove for a long run? About 3-4 miles.
