Bam got a pet turtle

Happy Friday the 13th!  Muhahaha.

I wrote this post last night so if this doesn’t make sense, you will know that I am under caffeinated.

This pathetic furry face of sadness is because I was typing and not paying any attention to him.

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me…

I really wanted to get my long run for the week in, but it wasn’t in the cards.  The night before a loud thump woke us up and Mike realized someone was in our backyard.  That was pretty interesting.  Or not.

Of course we couldn’t go right back to sleep after that so we slept in a bit.  By the time I made it out to run it was hot but I rocked 3 long, hot, miserable miles and called it good.

Then I found out the saddest news.  My beloved watermelon Nuun is going out of season.

Guess I’ll have to become a Nuun hoarder.  I just shuddered writing that word.  Yuck.

Moving on, I hung out in Pacific Grove in the afternoon.  It looks cold, but it was actually 70 & just overcast.  Welcome to the coast life.

Too bad I didn’t bring my swimsuit and boogie board.  Those sets were killer.

I don’t know why, but every time I leave Bam longer than usual I feel guilty.  I’m a sucka for him so I picked up a new toy turtle on my way home.  I mean it’s not like he has an overflowing box of them or anything.

Mike thinks I place how I’m feeling on Bam.  He say’s Bam doesn’t have feelings.  I’m like…

The pictures blurry because knuckle head was so excited about his new turtle friend he couldn’t stand it.  His excitement makes my day!

Fellow Nuun addicts, what is your favorite flavor?

Random, but what’s you favorite 80’s movies?

I have so many, Ferris Buellers Day Off, all National Lampoons vacation movies, Office Space plus a gazillion more I can’t think of right now.

What are you looking forward to this fall?

Are you superstitious?

Nope, not at all.  But I do believe in karma.

  1. 80’s movies I love – Field of Dreams, Major League, Ferris, Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, The Goonies…the list goes on and on! I’ll give you Michelle’s favourite movie all time as well, as it was from the 80’s, Dirty Dancing.

I’m looking forward to my Fall marathon, which is one month today!

I don’t believe in bad luck or even karma, particularly. Good things happen to good people but so do bad. Good things also happen to bad people and bad things happen to them too. I’m so deep

  6. I am so sad that the Watermelon Nuun is going out of season!! I didn’t even get to try it. I have been scouring every place that I see selling it to see if they have it and they haven’t. Now I will have to wait all year to start looking for it again 🙁

  10. Our golden retriever is absolutely obsessed with stuffed animals and we drive to garage sales looking for these stupid little stuffed turtles like you had. She has a box about the size of a coffin full of them but yet she loves each one. I can totally touch base with your little fellow on the happiness of that new turtle haha.

I love the tagline “skinnychickblog” haha. What happens if you gain lots of weight from a pregnancy and aren’t the skinny chick anymore hahaha (thats my story) *cry face
