Motivation Sunday

Good Sunday morning to you!

One of the first things I do when I wake up is check my Instagram feed.  It’s so inspiring especially on the weekends when everyone’s out racing, enjoying their morning coffee in cutesy mugs by the fire with comfy pj’s.  I saw quite a few posts of crazy awesome peeps running in the snow.  Now that’s true passion right there.

I was cleaning up my picture files and found a folder with inspirational quotes I made & filed away.  Some are oldies but goodies, some might be new I don’t know.  So instead of simple things Sunday, I thought I’d do motivation Sunday.

But first, a Pebble sunset.  No filter, no fancy camera, no editing, no words.

Are you ready?

And my absolute favorite….

What is your favorite motivational quote?

How’s the weather where you are?

Sunny, blue sky’s & around 60.  Please don’t send hate mail.  Winking smile

Any conditions you refuse to run in?

Nope, but when it’s foggy it’s a little harder to get motivated.  Once I’m out there it’s perfect running weather.

  1. I want to be where you are! I think it’s in the 40’s here.
Our roads get too icy in the winter for me to run on. I see people out still but I don’t get how! I’d break an ankle every week!

  2. Quote:
“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.” ― Robert Fulghum

I will not run if its below 38… was 40 until I braved the earlier part of the day and it wasn’t quite there yet. I don’t do wind, sleet, or pouring rain. Today… no run, its not getting above 45 here in GA. brrr

  3. Aww jealous of your temps. Ours are in the 20s and snow. I used to never run in the cold, like below 50. Now, though, I’m loving it. I am not sure I’ll go in the super cold. Now rain, I don’t like it at all. Nope, won’t do it!

  4. Ran a 10k Turkey Chase this morning and it was windy and FREEZING!! Still managed a PR:) I love the quote “getting up and hour early to live an hour more!” I need to remember this when I have a hard time getting up in the morning!!

  5. I grew up in New England where if you don’t run in bad conditions you’ll be stuck on the treadmill 75% of the year! I will run in any temps, rain, snow, sleet, darkness! The only thing I wont run in is thunderstorms… because that would just be silly! haha

  6. I’ll be honest…as much as I hate snow, I really don’t *hate* running in the snow. It isn’t too bad if you dress properly, slow things down to a safe pace and avoid the ice. Plus you can feel extra tough and wear it like a badge of honour. Boom.

  7. I hate snow and wind. Good thing I live in Alabama where it rarely snows. Those are my two hand down treadmill only conditions. I also do not run in the dark, for safety reasons.
