Merry Christmas Eve Eve

What a great weekend!  It was filled with a little of everything – shopping, great meals, wrapping gifts, someone accidently deleting a unpublished blog post that I’d been working on for a week.  It’s a good thing I love him.  Oh and some relaxing thrown in there too.

Christmas came a little early this year.  I’ve been needing a laptop upgrade for a long time now, but I’m too cheap to bite the bullet.  Mike somehow talked me into it plus we scored a killer deal so it was far less painful.  Wow, it’s like magic when I tell the computer to do something, it does without lag time.  Ahhh the simple things.

We decided to head to Santa Cruz for the day and had plans to have lunch at Kelly’s French Bakery, but on the way there we saw burger. and before we knew it, we were walking in & ordering a delicious lunch.

I can’t remember the name of mine, but it had bacon, jack cheese guac & extra pickles.  Pretty much heaven between buns.  That didn’t sound right.  Oh well, what else would you expect from me?

Last week I saw one of the most delicious looking coffees on the IG.  <-btw please run this race with me!!

Anyway she gave away her secret coffee shop with promises it will rock my coffee world.

And holy smokes, Batman Verve Coffee is where it’s at.  This was my first coffee art experience so, they made a special SCB coffee art just for me.  How cool is that!

Nothing like wrapping your paws around a hot cup of delicious coffee.  Nothing.

Okay coffee swooning is over.  I have a bunch of loose ends to tie up before we leave for home tomorrow morning.

If I don’t see ya before then, we wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas!!

Best coffee shop ever?  Go!

Ever accidently deleted something you worked hard on?

What are you doing for Christmas?  Staying home, going to visit friends & family?

  1. According to Urban Dictionary, today is Christmas Adam. I only know this because one time it was a question on Jeopardy that was on in the background and my ears perked up because it’s also my birthday. Now my family likes to refer to this day, not as my birthday, but as Christmas Adam. They’re hilarious.

  2. Aww yay for new computers! Mine is a dinosaur (not really that old, but my laptops age in dog years). I refuse to buy a new one until I go off to grad school. I like to think that lag time allows me to be more productive. I can walk over and grab something in another room, get some water, drive to the grocery store…

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

  3. Yum ! There’s an Italian coffee hut in downtown Seattle that makes THE BEST coffee ever !!! it’s not strong or light it’s just perfect and the lady there always makes cute coffee art, they also make their on whipped cream which honestly it tastes different than store bought or the homemade one ….i don’t know what it is but it’s very creamy and delicious hehe.
So far i have never deleted anything important but it could be because i tend to send copies to myself lol .
We are going to my brother in-law for Christmas and we’re having prime rib, double stuffed potatoes, cheesecake and coffee hehe.

  4. Congrats on your new electronics! We need a new laptop so bad but are really refusing to bite the bullet. I think we will probably just wait until our current one dies one day.

I was in a hotel for a conference in Baltimore once, sitting in the lobby writing something for graduate school, and some toddler came up to me and starting smiling. I smiled back and said hey to her and before I knew it she touched one button on the keypad and deleted everything (hours worth of research typed into a web browser, so there was no back up). Her dad just laughed from across the lobby. It took all I had to keep my composure.

  5. I am such a coffee addict, I really haven’t met a coffee shop I didn’t love.

Once, for work, I was working on a quarterly review project I had to do- I had to travel several hours away, meet with some people, complete a spreadsheet of info.

Once I got home, I realized I never saved it. Ugh. I wasn’t sure at that point if I wanted to punch a hole in the wall or just sit down and cry. Luckily, I had taken great notes, so I could redo. It just took me a full work day to do it. Ooops.
