So this is what my life has come to

I like a Miley Cyrus song.  I can sing it word for word.

I know.

To my home girls here with the big butt…shaking it like we at a strip club…

Feel free to judge me.  I never thought my life would come to this, even I can’t stand me right now.

Lu said well, at least you’re not twerking in the living room.  Girlfren’s got a point – maybe there is hope for me after all.

Then she sent this to cheer me up.

Yah, she is soooo her fathers child.

While I’m in recovery, let’s talk about my awesome run.  I ate hills for second breakfast and it felt so good to bring on the {good} hurt.

We are having incredible 70 & sunny weather lately so my mission in life is to stay outdoors as long as possible.  Snowed in/iced in friends you are free to rub your schweet weather in when it’s summer & I’m crying about the cold + fog.

I took being on winter break very seriously by rocking my sweaty workout clothes all day.  I even broke my own rule by wearing my Mizunos the rest of the day too.

In case you are wondering, I usually only wear them for running to get as many running miles out of them possible.

Since I was incognito, I took the Lu to Pebble Beach.  Her eyes about popped out of her head – it blew her little mind.

Although I drive the course all the time, I’ve never gone anywhere else so we explored Stillwater Bay which rocked our world.  This place never get’s old.

Have you ever seen purple sand?  It was definitely a first for me.

This must be why they call it Pebble Beach, no?

I think we have a future blogger on our hands here.  She’s quite the photographer.

It was a great day to stand at the edge of earth, watch the waves crash against the rocks, breathe in the salty air while watching the cotton candy sky become more vibrant as the sun sets.  Just being still and thinking to myself, I am exactly where I need to be.

Tell me 4 things you are thankful for this past week?

How long do you leave your Christmas tree up?

Took ours down the day after Christmas.  As much as I love it, I also love getting back to normal.  Whatever that is.

Running hills: yay or nay?

I don’t mind them but I’m not a fan of a hilly race.  Guess I only like them on my terms.  Go figure.  Winking smile

  1. We aren’t back at home yet but our tree will probably be taken down next week which makes me sad 🙁 Oh well! I am so jealous of the views you get during your runs!

  2. Oh I am super jealous of your views!! You can be jealous of our fall weather..Utah has the most beautiful fall time.
We put Christmas away the day after. Once it’s over, I’m done and want my house back. It looks extra clean too, after all that extra clutter is put away.
Love, LOVE hills. They hurt so good!

  3. Okay, I am totally not judging. I am a musician, but I absolutely LIVE for that sugary-sweet teen pop, and I personally think it’s the BEST music to run to.

Currently, I run to a lot of Latin music, and the rest is teeny bopper stuff: Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, and 1 Direction.

  4. I like to have all of my Christmas stuff put away by New Years. I haven’t even started yet, so we will see how that goes. I love to train hills but hate to race hills, although training them does make the racing more tolerable.

  5. We are leave our trees and decorations up until after the 1st of the year – we host a New Year’s Eve party every year and like to have the decorations out!
I would be far more jealous of your 70 degree weather but we got up to 60 here in Kansas today so I will take it!!!

  6. My tree came down yesterday. I am like you…I like to have my space back and get back to a normal routine. Because of my ITB pain, I try to avoid hills as much as possible until I build up my glute/hip muscles.

  7. I have a few miley Jams on my Ipod- no shame.

I would love to sea pebble beach n person some day- looks so pretty!

As for running hills, I wouldn’t say I love them but I like having SOME elevation changes rather than something completely flat.

  8. Ick to the hills. I hate them always, especially when riding a bike.

Love Monterey and Carmel this time of year. I really should get over there with the family while hubby is still off for the holidays.

I generally like to leave my tree up until New Years, but the last few years have been feeling ready to take it down sooner. Getting back to normal does feel nice.
