Our friends Brian & Cindy are visiting this week. The guest room is getting used which I am really happy about. I love it when our friends & family come to visit. There are so many cool places to show them.
I was running short on time yesterday morning, but I managed to squeeze in a run, which I am always happy to do. So is Mike. And the world.
It was a put on a BIC Band + stick your tongue out at the ocean because I am mature like that.
The multi-color chevron BIC Band reminds me of running in Google land. Sometimes I miss that place. But the beach bum life is much more my speed.
I was sucking in air like it was my j-o-b as I pushed it, but I felt really good the rest of the day. It’s funny how that works out.
Brian + Cindy have never been to Chipotle. I am still trying to figure out how this is possible – it’s one of my favorite restaurants. So we did what any good friends would do, we took them to try it.
No pic because I just ran, lunch is my favorite meal of the day and I was starvin’ Marvin.
We were heading out of town for the afternoon + didn’t want to make another stop, so I cheated on Starbucks + hit up Peets Coffee.
Funny story, Mike gave me a gift card to Peets over 2 years ago for according to him “not dying on the job”. Needless to say I finally used it. Don’t worry, I bought him a coffee too because I’m cool like that.
That cute snowflake cookie was calling my name.
We ended an awesome day with a beautiful sunset I caught while driving on Highway 1.
Mike made an awesome baked ziti for dinner from scratch and we chilled out with my favorite bottle of wine. Sad to see it go, but looking forward to wine tasting soon in Carmel Valley & Monterey. Exploring never get’s old.
And a pic of the Bam. He’s upset because he hasn’t made an appearance on the blog in awhile.
A little motivation I saw on Fitness Mag:
“You are confined only by the walls you build yourself.”
What is your favorite meal of the day?
What was the last restaurant you went to?
