My mission for the day

I’m usually a morning person, but today I slept in a bit and poured another cup of coffee.  Oh well, it’s nice to take it easy and not have anywhere to be.  I’ll enjoy it for now because Pro-Am is right around the corner as well as the busy season.

My only plan yesterday was to stay outside as long as possible.  It feels like spring in January so I’m sure being inside is some kind of sin or something.

I took Bam to the dog park for a long time.  He’s making a bunch of new friends and really enjoys when they chase him.  The people are pretty cool too so we both enjoy going.

I was asked for his dog license which was new to me.  I guess the City wants to know if he’s up to date on his shots {he is} but they want to charge me for taking his shot records to them.

Lemme interperate: We, the City have found another way to tax you.

Moving on, I continued with the theme of the day by walking along the beach.  It was so nice to go down to the sand since I always just run by.  It’s hard to beat 72 & sunny along the water.  It’s usually a bit chilly + windy down there, but it was perfect!

After exploring a bit, I walked over the the market where they gave me a cup of water while running over the weekend.  Their produce is so fresh + beautiful.  I swear I could spend all day admiring it.  Yah, I’m a weirdo like that.

I picked up a few things and realized what a goober I was walking along the beach with a bunch of celery.  Good job J for totally living up to the green, organic, beachy stereotype.

This is totally normal, I swear.

I also picked up some chicken so I don’t hear “um honey, this food is what my food eats” from the husband.

What did you have for dinner last night?

Coffee or tea?

Random question: I’m working on a post about hair which is kinda funny since I don’t usually do my own fur, but if you have a question, leave it in the comments.

  1. “Excuse me you accidentally gave me the food that my food eats!” Ron Swanson

  2. That salad looks yummy!

We had a well rounded meal of Ramen noodles and chips and salsa. <– That is what happens when I work all day and have minimal groceries.

  3. So it’s 40 degrees and sunny here and I’m going to let my kids play outside today! Your weather makes me want to hop on a plane..to anywhere warm!
We had spinach + cheese raviolis last night. It didn’t need meat at all but my husband added ground beef to the sauce. In my mind, no, every meal doesn’t need meat! Especially one that’s super easy to do meat-free.

    • I bet your kiddos loved playing outside!
Your dinner sounds awesome! I love ravioli and I totally agree not every meal has to include meat.

  4. HAHAHA “this food is what move food eats” – LOVE that! I wish we had an outdoor market like that – in fact I just wish I lived in CA with you because it is so beautiful! I am tired of cold and snow!

  5. My dinner was grilled Steak, salad, and sauteed Brussels sprouts (they’re my favorite!). No hair questions from me, but I have to tell you how jealous I am of your amazing weather. Glad you’re getting out and enjoying it.

  6. 70s is like summer in Seattle lol, you are so lucky :).
I don’t like tea unless is green tea and only at the restaurant because apparently I suck at making green tea since it never tastes like the one at the restaurant :/.
Ugh I don’t really like salad but I eat it because I know it’s good for me or I’d only eat meat :p.
We have been eating lots of Japanese soup since we all got the flu ( don’t remember what it’s called but hubby makes a great soup).
Hair: how do you deal with it while running? Do you braid it? Or do you always just make a pony tail or a bun and how? And do you use anything for your hair like vitamins? My hair always looks like a big mess even if I wear a headband and ponytail 🙁

  7. Beautiful produce is totally something to be admired! Those Treviso radicchio are gorgeous! I headed to the beach today with the kids because I could not pass up 75 degree weather in Capitola. Amazing weather we’re having!
