Virtual coffee date

I’ve seen virtual coffee date posts all over the blog world and decided I wanted to join all the cool kids.  So if you + I were having a coffee date, these are some of the things I would tell you about.

  • I would remind you to live like Bam.

  • A lot of time would be spent talking about these Mizuno Wave Hitogami kicks that were just added to my collection.  And you wouldn’t mind a bit because we love to talk about all things running and who doesn’t love new shoes?

I did 4 speedy miles with them yesterday and so far I’m digging them.  I will do a full review after I throw down some miles on these babies.  They are light, low and come with promises of PR’s.

  • The above was partly a lie.
  • I’m still not feeling that great.  I’ve been tired, wonky appetite and a weird upset stomach one minute and then it’s feels totally fine the next.  I suspect the IBS punk.
  • Speaking of that punk, my RX turned out to be $200 cheaper than expected.  It was sad how excited I was considering it’s still approximately 7.3 times more than last year.

  • I am really excited my #2 BFF Ronda {#1 is Mike, duh} is coming to visit this weekend!!  First we’ll make snow angels for two hours, then we’ll go ice skating, then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse cookie dough as fast as we can…
  • I went all crazy cleaning lady again last night.  Let’s just say Bam was giving me the side eye and you can probably eat off the floors for a hot minute.

  • Bills freaking freak me out.  One of the best feelings ever is paying them off.  It’s right up there with my love of throwing things away.  I busted out the shredder to celebrate paying a credit card off & closing the account with a cup of coffee in hand.

  • I cut up a bunch of boxes & put them in the recycle bin with my new pocket knife without cutting myself.  Sometimes I surprise myself.
  • Duck Dynasty rocks!!
  • This made me laugh for a very long time.

  • And a pic of my adorable little grandma because it’s been awhile since she’s made an appearance on here.  Plus I really miss her a lot.

  1. Are you referring to your Linzess script? Because dang that stuff is expensive!! I’m on it as well and almost died the first time I had to pay for it. Good thing it works though, so I suppose I’ll pay the price. 🙂

      • It does make me feel better and takes the fear of my IBS freaking out when I don’t want it to away, which I appreciate. I do wonder if I should be on the lower dose though, I think the higher one dehydrates me. Are you on the high dose, I think it’s 290mg?

  2. I would def talk about running! 🙂 and if I was having coffee with you hopefully we would be in sunny CA not snowy and cold MA!

  3. Love that picture of the guy just watching all of the chaos!!!
Hooray to paying off a bill. We spent the first 10ish years of our marriage digging out of debt (mine) and now we make it a point to stay debt free (other than our mortgage).

    • That is fantastic!! Being debt free must be an amazing feeling. We are hoping to be right there with you guys minus the whole mortgage thing soon.

  4. I JUST applied for my first credit card and should have it in the mail this week. I hate debt and all that noise but apparently if I ever want to buy a house or something I need to have “credit” but finances make me sleepy.

    • I think having a credit card is really good to build credit. As much as I don’t want to, I will probably end up keeping one. {I only had 2}

  5. If we had coffee, I’d tell you about how I thought I forgot one my dogs in the backyard this morning and had to ask my (too nice) neighbor to go check mid-morning; and how I’m annoyed that my shin is sore and I shouldn’t be running, and also about I wish I had 2 more hours in each day so my husband didn’t have to cook dinner so often and help with cleaning and laundry chores. Oh to dream. Thanks for the girl-time!

  6. OHHH I”M super excited to hear about the Hitogami. I was just researching those!!!!! Can’t wait for that post. I would talk about how I’m a little sick of the cold and WIND TX has been dealing with this winter!!! The only good thing to come out of it I have been able to rationalize my increased coffee consumption!!!!!! 🙂 Financial goals……pay off my car. That will mean both of our cars are paid off. WOOHOO!!!!!

  7. Financial goal this year, save each month (I have set amounts different for each month)and have our wedding and NOT put us in debt with it 🙂 [If I had my way, we’d run off and be married already!]
