Simple things Sunday: I spend my life laughing with this boy

I hope your Sunday is filled with coffee, snuggling, running, racing and all things good in life.

It’s raining and Mike has big plans to smoke a chicken while we watch the Super Bowl.  Let’s see how this works out.  I’m not a fan of either team, but I’ll be rooting for the Broncos.

I’m soaking in all of the running I can before a busy week.  Yesterday I did some hill training.  The first 2 miles was mostly an incline, but they flew by.  The 2nd half was a disaster.  I was queen of positive splits, my legs didn’t feel like they weren’t moving, I looked down to check and yes in fact they were…barley.  So yah not the best run, but it sure felt great the rest of the day.

Fun fact, I rocked the first BIC Band I ever bought.  A couple years later, I’m the proud leader of BBA.  <- BIC Bands anonymous.  Who’s in my club?  Winking smile

Mike has the entire weekend off, he’s not even on call.  That never happens so we spent the day cruising around with the top down, acting like Templeton – hello Olive Garden unlimited SSB!, poking fun at each other, you know the usual.

Then homie right here said “I look like a fat Miley Cyrus.”  You know y’all want to be our friends.  Or not.

I may not look impressed in this pic but I was laughing my butt off.  I swear I spend my life laughing with this guy!

Mike is hilarious.  He’s quick with the comebacks, an equal opportunity jokester – South Park style, I swear he’s the Hulk because he breaks nearly everything he touches then claims said object was cheaply made.  The boy loves it when people get butt hurt over a joke.  You know, the ones who don’t have a sense of humor.  This pretty much sums him up…

On the flip side he’s a big ole teddy bear, super thoughtful & a total sweetheart.  He would do anything for people he loves and is by far my biggest supporter.  He pushes me to crawl out of my comfort zone, experience new things and live a little more.  He helps me become stronger both mentally and professionally, and offers me a different view on dealing with situations from a non-emotional standpoint.  I could go on, but I’m not the mushy gushy girly girl so I’ll shut my trap.  Plus I don’t need to give that man another reason to grow a bigger head.

How does your partner in crime help make you a better person?

Your ideal Sunday? Go!

Last craptastic run?  Tell me all about it so we can laugh together!

Super Bowl: who are you cheering for?

  1. I am cheering for the Seahawks only because RW used to be the quarterback for my college football team! I know lame reason right!?

I don’t know where I would be without my hubs! I really don’t. He pretty much picks me up no matter what I am going through and it’s pretty awesome living with your best friend!

Sounds like you all are having a great weekend! Enjoy 🙂

  2. Rooting for my home team, GO BRONCOS!!!!! Even though I’ll be watching far away in Germany, I’m sure they will hear my cheers 🙂

  3. I am cheering for the Seahawks because my partner in crime (my sister) live in WA and her hubby is a HUGE Seahawks fan.
As for my other partner in crime my husband, we love every second together, especially when our kids are not around. I know mean right but they tend to suck up all of the attention…3 girls, shocker!!

  4. The pic of Mike made me giggle! I’m sad to say that I do not own a BIC band yet…I need to change that!!!

My guy tries to help me with emotional situations…but then I just get mad and say….but…but. I give him credit for trying.

    • We will let you in the club. 😉 Guys are so simple they make it seem so easy. Maybe it is for them but us girls tend to complicate things without trying. Ha!
