I am solar powered + a MooMotion gear Review

It’s been cloudy + foggy lately.  I don’t mind as long as the sun makes an appearance every now and then.  Yesterday I woke up to the sun shining + clear blue skies.  I couldn’t wait to head out for a run because, clearly I am solar powered.

It was a little breezy which I vote we should be able to double our mileage due to resistance.  You know, we run 4 miles and in wind that should be equal to 8.  No?

I threw in some hills and was rewarded with this view.  #nevergetsold

This my friends, is real life.  No filter needed.

A 5K later, I made it back home feeling happy and accomplished.

I decided it would be a crime to stay inside on a beautiful sunny, 70 degree day, so I hopped on my road bike for a spin.  I was stoked to rock my MooMotion gear.

I’m wearing the Versa Long Sleeve Jersey in navy/neon coral and the matching Stamina Tri Shorts.  The first thing I thought when they arrived is they remind me of my beloved Lululemon.  The quality + fit are definitely up there, but not over the top.

The shorts are a perfect fit – perfectly snug, great length and major bonus points for pockets on the side for easy access to fuel, tissue {my nose runs the entire time I ride} or anything you need easy access without fumbling around your lower back for simple stuff.

I would consider the padding more on the medium side.  I would feel comfortable riding 30ish miles with them, so I think they would be great if you’re training for a tri or du.

A tiny adjustment I would recommend is to sew the elastic waistband to the shorts.  I like to roll the waistband down for a lower rise and felt it kind of “float” around.  But I dig these shorts so much, it won’t stop me from reaching for them on my next ride.

The top is comfy and breathable.  It also has the standard pockets in the lower back and the length rocks.  The only thing I would change is the length of the sleeves.  I’m wearing a medium, which is generally my size but the sleeves rode up a bit.  This may not be a fair statement since I pretty much have monkey arms and my knuckles practically drag on the floor when I walk.  Winking smile

I would totally recommend giving MooMotion a shot especially if you’re into duathlons + triathlons.  I’m already looking for my next du so I can rock this uber cute gear.

Spring is just around the corner!!  What are 5 things you are looking forward to?

Farmers market, racing, spring produce – strawberries in particular, going wine tasting with my BFF + hiking.

What do you look for in gear?

Fit + tiny details.  Yah, not a fan of pulling down a top that rides up every 2 minutes.

MooMotion provided the sample gear, per usual all opinions are all mine baby!

I am a tall person, and I refuse to buy a top that isn’t long. I cannot stand tugging my shirt down when I am running and I hate it when my midriff shows.

I am looking forward to everything about spring. But I think what I am looking forward to most, is not being stuck at the hospital where I work because of stupid snow storms and being forced to spend the night because the roads aren’t drivable (not that I’m bitter). This has happened one too many times this winter.

Oohh I like your top, do you think you would use it for running? Or just for riding?.
Sadly I don’t look forward to Spring because that’s when it rains the most in Seattle lol, BUT I look forward to seeing pretty flowers, Strawberries with Angel food cake and whipped cream, more coffee, running the Tulip run and I think that’s about it.
I mainly look for breathable clothes, water proof, pockets, something not to tight and that can be put away into tiny pocket size :p so I guess I’m a little picky hehe.

Totally going to have to look into Moo MOtion for all my tri training I have going on this year! They look super cute on you!

Spring– looking forward to taking my bike outside and not being on the trainer, not needing 50 million layers to run outside, race season!, iced coffee (I just can’t do it when it’s as cold as it has been!), sandals!!, and oh so many other things!
