Simple things Sunday: the grumpy files

Sometimes I get grumpy.  Don’t be all shocked it’s not always lollipops, unicorns & butterflies around here.  So last week I took my sorry butt to the beach because how can you really be grumpy there?

I am now convinced that sitting at elevation 0 cures everything.  I watched dolphins jump out of the water as the waves came crashing down through the different shades of blue as the water churned.  I smiled until my teeth were salty.  I’m sure I looked like a total goofball.  Come to think of it, maybe that’s why I don’t have any friends?

With no schedule to keep, no place to be I took my time, stopped several times to and took it all in.

And think of how to become rich so I can live here.  With a mug like mine, modeling probably isn’t in the cards.

After a nice walk, I drove along the coast.  Sometimes I feel guilty because I tend to live through my iPhone lens, but you know what?   I’m just doing what I love.  And that makes me happy.  I am okay with that.

Life is too beautiful not to capture and savor moments like this.

As much as I miss home and my little grandma, I have no regrets trading grass for succulents.

I still can’t believe how lucky we are to live here.  I’m thankful for it every day.

**For those who asked, my favorite BIC Band in the first pic is in stock!  If you want to join the BBAC {BIC Bands anonymous club} they are offering free shipping on all orders of $50 or more.  You are welcome.
How do you pull yourself out of a bad mood?

Nerdy question, how many pictures do you have on your phone right now?

Thanks for sharing! I hate reading blogs that ONLY seem to be lollipops, unicorns and butterflies.

Running usually takes me out of grumpy mood. Its the best thing to just be on my own and get out my frustrations.

I have 158 photos on my phone, but I only recently got my phone back from repair about 2 weeks ago, so its building up pretty quick ;)

Hehe your Bic band is now my favorite too :D; it is really pretty and I love wearing it.
When I’m in a bad mood I just go for a run but yesterday I took it on a cake :(, I was so over the top mad for something that I knew I was right and people just decided to ignore me …oh well.
Right now in my “new” phone I got 500 and they are mainly my pets and kids pictures hehe.

I love living through your lens! Gorgeous pics plus it reminds me that warm weather will eventually make it’s way here.
My phone doesn’t have pictures…it’s basically a flip phone from 1902 that doesn’t do anything but call + text.
I was in a bad mood yesterday for no real reason. I snapped out of it by thinking of a few things I’m grateful for. Works every time!

I love seeing your photos…especially when we just got dumped on with snow. I imagine laying on that beach! When I’m grumpy? I soak in a hot tub and read all kinds of magazines on next issue. In the summer, sit on the deck and let the sun hit my face!!!

I have no idea how to tell how many photos I have. I do dump them onto an external hard drive often as I’m terrified to lose everything!

The beach is my favorite place in the world. I would give anything to be there right now. I’ve been working non stop and today I feel like it’s all caught up to me. I need time to relax and rest. That’s what I plan on doing.

I have 0 pictures currently on my phone because I sync them. I also have a crappy phone camera, so I don’t tend to rely on it for my picture needs. :)

I’m more of a mountain girl, but I will say that I appreciate these gorgeous beach pictures in the middle of winter. Our scenery is beautiful and I will never get tired of it, but there is something fun about seeing a different place now and again. It’s really hard for me to process that other places in the country are above 60* right now. It was 10 driving to church this morning!

I’m showing this post to my husband!! I keep telling him that I would be far more pleasant if I lived on the beach – and this just proves my point because how can you be in a bad mood on the beach?!
I have 689 pictures on my iPhone right now – some should probably be deleted but that seems like a lot of work!
