Templeton status + I do not recommend…
Ever since we moved here, we have been warned of “June gloom” where the sun goes into hiding and refuses to come out and play. So lately it’s been foggy in the morning and the sun makes an appearance in the afternoon. It’s our first summer here and it feels so weird to spend the summer in the fog, and the coldest summer ever. But I can’t complain when it’s warm + sunny in December.
This is what dreams are made of…
Mike and I both had the day off which seems to be rare these days so we spent it acting like Templeton, driving new roads and drinking coffee. If you haven’t tried a Starbucks double shot, I truly feel sorry for you.
It was all fun and games until the boy got called into work, so I went on an unplanned ride. Even though I took it supa easy, I do not recommend riding with a belly full of burgers, fries and coffee.
I felt awful the entire time but this view more than made up for it.
The evening was spent with Mike making an awesome dinner out of nothing. Seriously how does he do it? While watching Duck Dynasty + fighting Bam over the couch. Happy happy happy.
A HUGE congrats to Harriette Thompson who set a new age group record at the San Diego Rock N Roll marathon yesterday!! What an incredible inspiration!
