Celebrating Independence Day + a few other random things

I hope you had a wonderful Independence Day!

Backing up to Thursday, I was so excited my new Halo headband came in the mail just in time to celebrate America’s Birthday!! I headed to the pool to try it out within 20 minutes of opening it. I’m sort of a kid that way. Winking smile

Yesterday we went to Benihana’s for lunch, walked around exploring the history of Monterey and then went to see Tammy.

Turns out Michelle had the same idea and was there too, so she sat with us.

I thought the movie was really funny, not as good as The Heat, but worth seeing if you’re up for a good laugh.

After the movie I found out my mom and aunt were involved in a car accident and were at the hospital. Thankfully they are okay, no broken bones but pretty sore. Whew.

It’s been a long week and I was feeling really exhausted so we took it easy and chilled out around the house and this party pooper was in bed around 7ish.

Oh and third opinions are like magic.

I’ll tell you about it when I no longer feel like chucking my falsely prescribed boot at my former podiatrist.

How did you celebrate Independence Day?

Last movie you saw?

  1. Can’t wait to hear the deets on that paw! Ummm, racing yesterday in my stars and stripes! Met up with 2 peeps from social media. So cool. It’s so awesome. Didn’t realize social media would connect me with so many awesome peeps. And they recognized me…like shouting my name in the parking lot. Oh the fame… I saw Transformers…ummmmm, PASS! Could have ended like an hour earlier. People were walking out before the movie ended. On my watch, the total time in the theater was 3 hours!

  2. Can’t wait to hear about this 3rd opinion. Gary & I just relaxed for the 4th, BBQ’d and drank some ginger beer. It’s how we roll. We also saw the newest X-men movie Thursday night. It was really good & I can’t believe I stayed out past 9pm.

  3. Girl….if you’re saying your paw is okay….I am super happy…and super mad at your podiatrist for telling you otherwise! Grrrrrr – does he know the hardships? On the positive side….you did try pool running and love it!

Last movie I saw was a small film that I think was only released in Canada….Called the Grand Seduction. Super funny!!!!

  4. I am anxious to hear about this 3rd opinion. I hope it is good news for you!! I watched the new Transformers movie last night at the Drive-In. I am a huge Mellissa McCarthy fan so can’t wait to watch Tammy!
