Acting like a real runner, car week + farmers market
Wow, I am acting like a real runner these days. I like it.
I did 2 minute intervals with 1 minute of walking for a total of 30 minutes along the beach path in the new Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2’s.
It was a gorgeous day be outside and cured my headache. Stoked about that!
Then I came home and slammed some lemon-lime Nuun. I almost forgot how refreshing this stuff is. Oh my gosh I missed it.
It’s car week, so I headed to Carmel By The Sea to check out the classic cars. I can see it now, Bam and I cruising to the beach for an afternoon of fun with Bams head hanging out the window, ears flapping in the wind, super dog style picking up chicks. Dude has swag you know.
Mike we need an upgrade. Just sayin’
And now I am totally convinced I was born in the wrong generation.
There were lots of Porsches, Ferraris and other sporty cars, but not one Rolls Royce which is what I was hoping to see. Bummer.
Then in the evening, I met up with Mike + Heather at the farmers market. It’s been so long since I’ve gone, but something I really enjoy. Traffic was crazy, so next time I’ll ride my bike since they have bike-sitters. How cool!
It was fun watching M + H make friends with the local farmers, scoring samples which is way better than Costco and coming up with ideas on how to use their fresh produce.
Has anyone ever seen heirloom broccoli? It looks perfect to add to a stir fry.
I secretly get Mike to eat more fresh produce by washing it and leaving the bowl at eye level well within the man scan range. Then I hide the ice cream under frozen veggies, because lets be real, it’s too much work for hommie to move things around. Clearly I am winning in life. Or not.
What are your current favorite farmers market finds?
Mini squash. I like to slice them, put a little S+P and grill them.
Be honest, do you hide food?
