Some things I’ve realized

Working out makes me a different person. That sounds kinda funny, but it’s like I’m a better version of myself.

I am often overly self sufficient. I rarely ask for help at home, work or whatever – I LOVE to multi task and work great under stress. But when I do, it’s like folks around me are happy to assist. It’s almost like they were waiting for me to ask. Ha!

It’s not proper to start a sentence with “and” or “but.” But I’m gonna do it anyway. And the grammar nazis will just have to deal with it. #idowhatiwant

The older I get, the less I care what others think of me. Wish I realized this earlier in life because it’s a pretty dang awesome way of living. Also, see above.

Sometimes I wonder the purpose of writing this blog. Sounds kinda odd since I’ve been at it since 2009, but Mike + have been talking about the shelf life of blogging a little more often.

Old pic of Bamstagram because, well why not?

After making the switch from PC to Mac, I have realized it is a Type A’s dream come true! Sticky notes on your desktop or customizable color coded files anyone? #nerdalert

  1. I think it would be tough to blog with all the critics out there. If you do give it up though, I’ll definitely miss it!

  2. Totally agree about not caring as much about what people think the older I get. I’ve realized it’s not worth it. As a result I’ve got fewer friends but my friends are TRUE friends!

  3. I love your blog….who else would give me killer reviews on awesome stuff??!! Love reading your stuff 🙂

  4. I feel like I’m on the same wavelength as you! I stopped blogging after the Chicago Marathon 2013. I picked it back up yesterday because, if nothing else, I need to hold myself accountable for Boston Marathon training. Blogging is great as long as you’re interested in it. Working out also makes me a completely different person. If I don’t work out – I have a bit more of a ‘monster-like’ demeanor!

  5. It is awesome when you can stop worrying so much about what other people think and only be concerned about what YOU think. It’s something I’ve struggled with and am seeming to finally get it under control and my life has never been better!

Please don’t “shelf” your blog! I love reading it and would be sad if you decided to throw in the towel.
