Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with those you love. Ours was super busy, but fantastic. We packed in a lot on this trip, so I’ll break it into a couple posts so I don’t bore you. And my fingers don’t fall off typing so much.
Our Thanksgiving morning drive to grandmas house went kinda like this…
We made it without hitting traffic with plenty of time for Mike to carve the bird. He always get’s the honor and that is the face of happiness with a side of sarcasm.
It’s a family tradition grandma cooks Thanksgiving lunch. She is stubborn and will not let anyone help, but we do anyway. And when I say help, that means I eat all the food so she doesn’t have to put it away.
Yes, that is a lemon I put on my turkey picked right off grandmas tree 32 seconds before cutting it.
My cute little date for the affair, was my niece Blair bear. Girlfriend is fancy pants with OJ in a plastic champagne glass and a bendy straw. Proud aunt right here!
Always first in line at the desert table. Haha!
We went to her house the day after Thanksgiving and she told me she had pecan pie for breakfast and chocolate pie with redi whip for lunch. Yah, my grandma is cooler than yours. 😉
My sister + her husband are opening a restaurant in Fresno soon, so we had to be taste testers. We took this job very seriously. This Meiomi Chardonnay is a definite winner.
Then it was decided the girls were way too clean, so we had to fix that.
Bam even took some time off from chewing his butt to chase squirrels. He wishes his secret power was climbing trees.
The evening ended with R coming to hang out with me at the hotel and Mike going to our friends house to prepare for zombies.
How was your Thanksgiving? I want to hear all about it!
Do you have family traditions?
