After reading so many food blogs for the past 2 years or so I decided to start my own. I am very interested in living a healthy lifestyle and have found a lot of inspiration by reading food blogs.
I have always lived inside my “safe zone” and I’m ready to experience life from a different angle. This will be my outlet to keep me focused on my goals to challenge myself to try new things such as foods and activities that I normally wouldn’t. So to start my blog off on the right foot I just signed up for my first 5k race on October 24th. It’s for the;
I’ve never considered myself a runner. Actually I never really liked it. Over the summer I started lifting free weights and working with an exercise ball at home. After doing that for about 3 months I knew I needed to add some type of cardio to my routine. So I decided to give running a try. To my surprise I really like it. So in September I started running 1/4 mile. That was all I could do without stopping. After a few days I doubled it and went from there. I emailed Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point for a little direction and her advice was to start running 1.5 mile’s and build from there. So today I gave it a shot and ran 1.5 mile’s straight through. Thank you Caitlin! I am training for distance not time. My goal is to run straight through the race. I think this is very tangible for me.
Follow along and see if I make it!
